A reminder that the next Leaf and Yard Waste Collection Day is Monday, September 14. Please place material at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Collection starts early and may take multiple days to complete due to high volumes. If your bags are not picked up on Monday, please leave them at the curb and crews will get to them.

✅ Maximum 20 bags per household
✅ Use compostable paper bags only
✅ Branches must be bundled

Today, the Township of South Stormont and South Stormont Fire & Rescue pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary courage shown by first responders and everyday heroes on September 11, 2001.

As we reflect on this day, we honour their sacrifice and service, and recognize the strength, compassion, and resilience that emerged in the face of tragedy. Their legacy continues to inspire those who serve and protect our communities every day.

The ice is taking shape! 🏒⛸️

South Stormont Parks and Facility Operators have been busy building and painting the ice this week as we get ready for the 2026–2027 ice rental season! The painting is complete, and crews are now continuing to build the ice surface to the ideal thickness for safe, smooth skating.

The first ice rentals begin Monday, September 14, and public skating returns at the end of the month. Ready to get back on the ice?

🏥 Exciting news for South Stormont residents!

The Township has partnered with the Rideau St. Lawrence Family Health Team to bring expanded team-based primary care services to the Ingleside Medical Clinic. Council approved the lease agreement on September 2, and the new clinic is expected to open in October 2026.

The expanded team will help connect up to 3,300 patients with primary care by July 2027, offering services such as urgent care, mental health supports, chronic disease management, and more, right here in our community.
