Lots of learning, great conversations, and clearly, we know how to strike a pose! 📸😎

The PHSS team had a great time at the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) 2026 Conference, connecting with colleagues, sharing ideas, and joining conversations about the future of home and community care in Ontario.

There were many conversations, from economics of care and the evolving role of artificial intelligence, to the challenges facing our sector and new opportunities to innovate, improve how we work, and strengthen the supports we provide.

Members of our PHSS Executive Team, Board of Directors, and Senior Leadership Team are attending the 2026 Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) Conference in Markham this week!

This year's theme, Community First: Redesigning Health Care at Home, brings together organizations from across Ontario to share ideas, challenge perspectives, and explore how we can shape the future of home and community care.

These conversations are important as we work together to strengthen community-based care and supports, drive meaningful change, and ensure people have access to the care and services they need to thrive in their communities.

We're proud to have PHSS represented and contributing to these important discussions!

Yesterday, Charlotte gave a presentation to first-year DSW students at Algonquin College 🎓

She shared a little about herself, the supports she receives at home, and what’s important to her when it comes to how she is supported.

Hearing directly from the people they will be supporting is such a valuable experience for future DSWs, helping them better understand the importance of listening, respecting individual choices, and providing person-centred care and support.

Thank you, Charlotte, for sharing your voice and helping shape the next generation of DSWs!

Yesterday we came together for our Annual Carmell Tait Memorial Walk. ❤
This walk is an opportunity to remember and honour the people in our PHSS community
who have passed away over the past year. It gives us a chance to come together, share
stories and memories and celebrate the lives of those who meant so much to so many.
Thank you to the Community Place North team for planning and hosting such a
meaningful gathering, and to everyone who came out to walk, remember and share in
the day.
We carry the memories of those we have lost with us, and we are grateful for the
opportunity to honour them together. ❤

Dylan spent the day in Niagara Falls last week, checking out some of the sights and having some fun along the way! 🎡

He took a ride on the SkyWheel to take in the views of the Falls and the city, played some games along Clifton Hill and stopped for a meal at the Rainforest Cafe.

Looks like a pretty great way to spend the day!

Matthew recently spent a night camping at Lake Whittaker with Daniel! 🏕️🎣

They packed plenty into their time away, including fishing, canoeing, exploring the trails, and meeting some new people along the way. After a full day outdoors, they made dinner over the fire and settled in for a night in their tent.

A great camping trip filled with fresh air, time on the water, and some great memories! 🌲🛶

Kailey, Chrissy, Taunua, Madison and Kayla headed back to Grand Bend for their fourth annual cottage trip.☀️

They relaxed on the beach, explored the Grand Bend strip, watched beautiful sunsets and spent their evenings around the campfire and enjoying movie nights. They also welcomed their families to the cottage for a BBQ and some friendly competition with yard games.

Four years of cottage trips, good company and great memories. Here’s to keeping the tradition going! 💛
