London Search & Rescue The London Search and Rescue team was founded in 2002. LSAR assists the London, Strathroy-Caradoc, Aylmer, and St.

We are comprised of highly skilled volunteers trained in Ground Search and Rescue to locate lost or missing persons in a 150 km radius of London, Ontario. Thomas Police Services and the OPP in the search and rescue of lost or injured persons across Middlesex County. Members of LSAR have been trained in First Aid, Basic and Advanced Search and Rescue, Rope Rescue, Man Tracking and many other areas

of expertise to effectively assist on searches. Our volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Throughout the year, London Search and Rescue also provides a safety program to local primary schools & youth groups, such as Brownie/Scout troops. Our program consists of a video on survival (Hug-A-Tree by the RCMP) if lost in the wilderness, along with a presentation by our members on the prevention of getting lost and how to make the find much easier for searchers. Our members participate in this program strictly on a volunteer basis. We feel that this program is critical to the well being of the children in our community, as well as their families.

PLS SHARE - MISSING PERSON LOCATED

UPDATE - LONDON, ON (August 27, 2026) – The previously reported missing 13-year-old male of London has been located and is safe. We would like to thank the public for sharing the information.

We kindly ask that any photographs from prior publications of the missing person be removed.

LONDON, ON (August 27th, 2026) – The London Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 13-year-old male, of London.

He is described as male, White, approximately 4’7”, approximately 120 lbs, slim build, with brush cut light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, yellow pants, and no shoes.

He was reported missing yesterday and was last seen yesterday at approximately 11:00 p.m. in the area of Banbury Road and Pond Mills Road.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare.

Anyone with information in relation to the missing person’s whereabouts is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.

A person can be reported missing at any time. You do not need to wait 24 hours before you report someone missing. If you are concerned for someone’s immediate safety, call 9-1-1. Otherwise, you can report a person as missing to the London Police Service by calling the non-emergency number 519-661-5670.

SARVAC is pleased to announce that Public Safety Canada has approved funding for the SARVAC Humanitarian Workforce (HWF) Program Extension – 2026–2027 (Phase 4), providing up to $2.61 million over the next eight months.

This funding will help rebuild and strengthen SARVAC's Humanitarian Workforce capacity while laying the foundation for a Type 3 Wildfire Support Capability to better support emergency response across Canada.

🦺 As we restart the HWF Program, we look forward to focusing on rebuilding our team and advancing key initiatives that strengthen Ground Search and Rescue capacity nationwide.

L’ACVRS est heureuse d’annoncer que Sécurité publique Canada a approuvé le financement pour la prolongation du Programme de main-d’œuvre humanitaire (MOH) de l’ACVRS pour 2026–2027 (phase 4), qui prévoit jusqu’à 2,61 millions de dollars au cours des huit prochains mois.

Many Canadians have been following the heartbreaking search for 11-year-old Parker, a non-verbal child who went missing in Calgary. The search came to a tragic end with the confirmation that Parker was found deceased.

Our thoughts are with Parker's family, friends, and the entire Calgary community during this incredibly difficult time.

We also recognize the dedication of the police, volunteer search and rescue teams, emergency responders, and community members who devoted countless hours to the search. Cases involving vulnerable missing persons are among the most challenging and emotionally demanding incidents responders face.

This tragedy is also a reminder of how important the public can be during a search. A careful observation, security camera footage, or timely information can all play a critical role.

If you are ever asked to assist during a missing person search:
• Follow the directions of police and search managers.
• Search carefully and methodically if requested.
• Share information only from official sources.
• Report potential sightings directly to authorities rather than posting them on social media.

At London Search and Rescue, we are proud to stand alongside volunteer search and rescue teams across Canada who are ready to respond when their communities need them.

Our hearts are with everyone affected by this tragic loss.
