Roman, a student from Listowel Christian School, was our Fire Chief for the day today!

Roman and his siblings enjoyed a ride to school in the Chief’s truck, a tour of the Listowel fire station, a ride in the aerial, a fire safety presentation with his class, and lunch from A&W with Development & Protective Services day staff. We topped the day off by giving mini sticks to each student in his class. We appreciated Roman’s excellent manners and eagerness to learn.

It was a busy long weekend for NPFD personnel and we’re grateful to our neighbouring departments for their assistance.

Our recruits had the opportunity to take part in Hazmat training alongside crews from Mapleton Fire/Rescue, Minto Fire and Wellington North Fire Service. This was the final session for the 2026 recruit class in partnership with our neighbours.

That teamwork carried over into the weekend when we responded to a barn fire on Sunday. Thank you to our neighbours from The Perth East & West Perth Fire Department for their mutual aid support.

We’re proud to stand alongside such dedicated partners. Strong relationships make stronger communities.

It was our pleasure to welcome Annie Williams to the Listowel fire station today. Annie was the winner of a 72 hour kit at the recent North Perth Chamber of Commerce Lifestyle Show.

Today, members of the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs gathered at Queen's Park for Advocacy Day — bringing forward the voice of Ontario’s fire service.

Important conversations focused on provincial funding initiatives related to firefighter health and wellness and emergency preparedness to ensure municipalities have the tools and support needed to keep residents safe.

Strong communities are built through collaboration, leadership, and advocacy. North Perth Fire Chief Pape was grateful for the opportunity to engage with provincial leaders, and specifically Perth Wellington MPP Matthew Rae.
