It is with profound sadness that we learned of Graham Norman's passing. One of Calypso's founders, Graham was a kind, compassionate advocate for inclusion and acceptance. His patience, sense of humor and ability to recite poetry were always evident whenever our paths crossed. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

The busy season has started at the Green Depot and our staff are working hard to count and sort the huge volume of recycling we receive on a daily basis.

You can help speed up the process by:
-removing garbage, straws and caps
- draining liquids
- only bring eligible beverage containers

NOTICE: RECYCLING DEPOT CLOSED FRIDAY MAY 1, 2026 for general maintenance. WE WILL NOT TAKE BOTTLES! We know the nice weather is giving everyone the chance to get the winters recycling together and bring in so we are over loaded with products. Please be patient with our depot team when you arrive. Also reminder the limit is 10 bags and have all caps removed from bottles. Have a great sunny day!

It's National Volunteer Week!

Huge thanks to our Board Members and other volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to encourage positive outcomes for our clients, an exceptional work environment for our staff and a stronger organization to support our mission and vision. We appreciate all you do for us!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tracy Canning. A part of our Calypso family since 1995, she became not only a client but a cherished friend.

Tracy loved working in the Green Depot and learning new things in the classroom. She was our shopping diva who enjoyed showing us her purchases and talking about where to find bargains. Always up for a bit of fun, she enjoyed our parties, baking classes and the days we put the pot on.

It was easy to see that Tracy loved her family and she was proud to share their news. Her time spent at Bowling and Home League were some of the evenings she enjoyed most.

We will miss her kindness, gentle smile and happy nature. Our thoughts are with her family and friends as we share this profound loss.

Celebrate the life of Tracy Canning and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

Awesome food, fantastic music, lots of dancing and great fellowship! Thanks to St. Paul's Anglican Church Women for the invitation (and the donation) and to Delmon and Pam for the music. We loved every moment!
