Renee and Elder Garrett had the privilege of presenting on Métis culture and history at the Fort Macleod Library. It was an evening filled with meaningful discussion, thoughtful questions, and shared learning.

One of the highlights was hearing a recording of Garrett's grandfather recounting a great buffalo hunt and his travels between Cypress Hills and Manitoba. Garrett also shared his talent on the fiddle, bringing our stories and culture to life through music.

A comment from one participant especially stayed with US:
"You have such a rich history and culture to be proud of."

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable.

Renee spent the weekend at The Hills Are Alive in Cypress Hills, where we had the honour of sponsoring the Métis Jigging Contest.

From young children giving jigging a try for the very first time to talented adults showing off their skills, it was wonderful to see so many people celebrating and sharing Métis culture.

The Hills Are Alive is a four-day cultural gathering filled with opportunities to learn, create, and connect—whether that’s learning fiddle or guitar, making a capot or moccasins, tufting caribou hair, joining a crib tournament, or simply spending time in community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped keep these traditions alive. 💙∞

Sometimes the most beautiful things aren’t things at all—they’re the conversations shared, the friendships made, and the sense of community we build together. Thank you to everyone who joined us for Seniors Tea today. 💙☕🌷

I had the honour together with Yvette, of addressing the Indigenous Graduates of Lethbridge School Division on May 19. It was a beautiful night seeing several different First Nations, Métis and Inuit students represented and celebrated together. We were privileged to gift 13 sashes this year.
