Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge

Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge We are a provincially registered non-profit society, and nationally registered charitable organization.

In addition to providing emergency food services, we have the responsibility of providing a safe, clean environment in which we conduct our business. We cater to those in a variety of situations, ranging from single-parenthood, to seniors on fixed incomes, to the under or unemployed, or to those with other social or economic barriers. We have been providing emergency food services to citizens of L

ethbridge and area since 1989. Since then, we have grown exponentially as the community recognizes, assesses and attempts to satisfy the needs of those in crisis. Explore our website at www.interfaithfoodbank.ca or contact us at [email protected] to find out more about our programs and services, how you can help, and other information. We act as a bridge between a community of donors and those who are in need through:

- Distribution of monthly food hampers, daily food supplements, and clothing vouchers

- Referrals to other community and/or government agencies to connect individuals and families with resources available within our community

- Offering The Interfaith Chinook Country Kitchen – through partnerships with Chinook Health and Family Centre, we facilitate cooking classes that teach healthy eating on limited budgets.

Happy !

We shine the on the wonderful Maria Solarte Puerto! She volunteers under the Service & Care Pillar, and in just one month she has already contributed an impressive 65 hours! She takes on various roles including Client Intake and Client Liason, but often step up to cover other roles. Her kind nature makes her a warm presence for our clients “Maria's warm smile and willingness to help make a lasting impression on everyone she meets. She has a natural ability to put clients at ease, helping them feel welcomed, valued, and supported during their visit.”

We appreciate you, Maria!

June is National Indigenous History Month.

This month, we honour the history, heritage, and resilience of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.

It’s a time to listen, learn, reflect, and celebrate the rich cultures and contributions of Indigenous communities—past and present. Let’s commit to ongoing learning, meaningful conversations, and action toward reconciliation.
