There is a little more grey in my hair from four years ago when I was elected to the County Council. There were a number of very large issues facing the county: Finding a new CAO, various lawsuits, and financial statements that were messy and hard to understand. We have made a lot of progress since then. Our financial statements are relatively easy to follow, we are working hard at getting information out to residents and have done dozens of public meetings around the county. For the second 2 years, I have been Deputy Warden, as elected by my fellow councillors. As Deputy Warden, I have been involved in the restructuring of Valley Waste and Kings Transit. Prior to 2020, we were a partner in Valley Waste and I am proud to say we will be once again, starting April 1st, 2025. This will result in savings for the County and for residents. Within District 10, I have been involved in the Annapolis Valley Exhibition as a board member and volunteer. This has been one of the most rewarding parts of being a councillor in this district. I have also been active in promoting county grants to organizations and individuals as well as finding provincial grants for residents and organizations.
I look forward to seeing new faces and old friends when I am going door to door over the next several weeks. Also, watch my regular Facebook profile, Brad Redden
