Last night at the East Dalhousie Community Center, well over 100 local residents crowded into a small, very warm hall. They spoke about their concerns around Uranium exploration, which the province has decided will happen in their community. This decision was made without public consultation after a 45-year moratorium on Uranium exploration. I was able to share some of my knowledge of this subject from working as a geologist in uranium exploration in Labrador. I look forward to working with the residents of East Dalhousie, Cherryfield, Springfield, and other residents facing this assault on their community in the future.

This is the ad I have placed in the Bridgetown Reader for next week. Annapolis County taxpayers should not be burdened with a large Council. (The 'hear' at the end is intentional)

This is my ad in this week's Bridgetown reader. Questions and comments are welcome.

There is a little more grey in my hair from four years ago when I was elected to the County Council. There were a number of very large issues facing the county: Finding a new CAO, various lawsuits, and financial statements that were messy and hard to understand. We have made a lot of progress since then. Our financial statements are relatively easy to follow, we are working hard at getting information out to residents and have done dozens of public meetings around the county. For the second 2 years, I have been Deputy Warden, as elected by my fellow councillors. As Deputy Warden, I have been involved in the restructuring of Valley Waste and Kings Transit. Prior to 2020, we were a partner in Valley Waste and I am proud to say we will be once again, starting April 1st, 2025. This will result in savings for the County and for residents. Within District 10, I have been involved in the Annapolis Valley Exhibition as a board member and volunteer. This has been one of the most rewarding parts of being a councillor in this district. I have also been active in promoting county grants to organizations and individuals as well as finding provincial grants for residents and organizations.

I look forward to seeing new faces and old friends when I am going door to door over the next several weeks. Also, watch my regular Facebook profile, Brad Redden

While in springfield, talking to residents, today a lot of people mentioned the poor condition of Lake Pleasant Rd. I took a little drive down there to see for myself and I definatly agree is needs some significant improvement.

There is currently a smear campaign underway against Martha Roberts and I would like to make it clear that I am in no way involved in it or interested in a negative campaign. I have based my campaign on Listening with Curiosity, Speaking with Honesty, and Acting with Integrity.
