Keith is taking a run at Ward 1 after Councillor Ron Closs has opted to run for the vacant Ward 4 position left open by Councillor Marina Summers who is pursuing the Deputy Reeve position against Incumbent Bill King and newcomer Frank Sodonis.

You may wonder what your local Lanark and District Civitan Club does to support the community! The club and its members have been busy this year raising funds and supporting community events.
For one of the projects this year, Omya and the Lanark Civitan club donated $2,800 each to purchase a new Sparky costume for the Lanark Highlands Fire department. The old costume was very old and it was time for a new version
What is so important about a Sparky Costume? Sparky has been the official mascot of the National Fire Protection Association since 1951. Since then he has played an instrumental role in educating and engaging children during community events and School visits in the rules and lessons around fire protection.
