This week, our Junior Kindergarten 3 & 4 students showed just how brave and open-minded they can be as they took their first steps into school during gradual entry. 💙

From exploring new spaces and meeting new friends to getting to know their teachers and classroom routines, these first few days have been filled with curiosity, growth, and smiles! 😃

Today we officially kicked off the 2026–27 school year, welcoming new faces to our community and reconnecting with familiar ones who somehow grew even taller over the summer! 💙

There was plenty of excitement across campus, and it was so good to see our students back together again.

A warm welcome to Aspengrove! 💙

Today was New Student Orientation, and it was wonderful to welcome so many new students and families to campus as they begin their Aspengrove journey.

We’re also excited to welcome several new staff members to our community this year: Erica, Ashley, Jenn, Stephanie, Alexandra, Adriane, Ruby, Laura, Kealyn, Karen, Bronwyn, Jessie, and Kim!

And while school may have been out for the summer, campus certainly wasn’t quiet. Don and his maintenance team have been hard at work making improvements across our facilities, and we can’t wait for our community to see what’s new.

We are pleased to introduce our School Captains for the year: Olivia and Luca! 👏

As Captains, they will help lead student life, support school spirit, and represent the student voice across our community. This role is about more than being visible at events. It is about setting a positive tone, bringing students together, and helping make Aspengrove a place where people feel connected and involved.

Olivia and Luca bring strong energy, care for the school, and a willingness to take on responsibility. We are looking forward to seeing how they work with students, staff, and our leadership teams throughout the year.

Our Active Adventures camp had a great time cooling off at the Transfer Beach Water Park last week. Plenty of sunshine, lots of laughs, and memories made along the way. ☀️💦

For generations, The Very Hungry Caterpillar has sparked curiosity, imagination, and a love of reading in young children. It’s one of those timeless classics that continues to bring little readers together, page after page.

There is something especially sweet about watching our preschool students discover this beloved story together. From counting the caterpillar’s snacks to wondering what happens next, these simple moments are helping build a lifelong love of books.
