COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT

A reminder that South Glengarry Council meets tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Tartan Hall, Char-Lan Recreation Centre.

Members of the public are welcome to attend.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE – GLEN ROY ROAD

Motorists should expect minor delays on Glen Roy Road, from County Road 25 northerly to Kenyon Concession Road 1, while asphalt paving operations take place.

September 17–18, 2026
7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

During construction:

• Single-lane closures may be in effect
• Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected
• Speeds will be reduced to 30 km/h during lane closures

Motorists are asked to use caution when travelling through the construction zone and follow all posted signs and traffic control measures.

Please note that paving operations are weather dependent and the schedule may change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Motorists should expect minor delays on Concession Road 4, from Concession Road 1 to County Road 26, while asphalt paving operations take place from Sept 15-18, 2026.

What to expect:

• Daily single-lane closures between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
• Delays of up to 5 minutes
• Reduced speed limit of 30 km/h during lane closures
• Traffic control measures will be in place

Please use caution when travelling through the construction zone, reduce your speed and follow the direction of traffic control personnel.

Please note that paving operations are weather dependent and the construction schedule may change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

FREE DROP-IN PROGRAMS ARE BACK!

Looking for a fun way to stay active and meet others in the community? Join us at Char-Lan District High School for free evening recreation programs!

Pickleball
Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Beginning September 28

Badminton
Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Beginning September 30

All skill levels are welcome, and there is no cost to participate! Just drop in.

Participants must bring their own equipment:

🏓 Pickleball paddles and balls
🏸 Badminton racquets and birdies

Programs run through May 2027. Come out, get moving, and have some fun!
