Hello Lakeshore! ๐
WHEN A COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER, AMAZING THINGS HAPPEN!
We wanted to take a moment to share something that means so much to all of us at Lakeshore Helping Lakeshore. Earlier this year, at our Spring Craft & Gift Show, our community came out to support us, and one of the ways we raised money was through our bake sale. You bought the cookies. You bought the cupcakes. You bought the cheesecakes. You donated. You supported our little volunteer group. And because you didโฆ we were able to turn that support right back around and help families in our own community!
With the money raised from our bake sale, we purchased a variety of back-to-school supplies for the Community Support Centre of Essex County 's Food Bank, helping families right here in our community, who might otherwise have had to worry about how they were going to afford those extra expenses when sending their children back to school. And this is why we do what we doโฆ because sometimes something as simple as buying a $1 cookie doesn't feel like much, but when a whole community buys those cookies, supports our events, shares our posts, volunteers their time and believes in what we're trying to accomplishโฆ $1 becomes a notebook and a pack of pencils. A box of crayons becomes a little less worry. Something as simple as scissors and glue can help struggling parents breathe just a little bit easier. A donation becomes a child going back to school with the supplies they need. That's the power of community! ๐ซ
Every time you support Lakeshore Helping Lakeshore, you're helping us find another way to put that support right back into the hands of people in our community who need it. We don't take that trust for granted. So, to every person who came out to our Spring Craft & Gift Show, every baker who helped fill our tables, every person who bought something, donated something, volunteered, shared a post or simply cheered us onโฆ THANK YOU!
This isn't just a community. It's OUR community. And when we take care of each other, everyone is a little stronger.
