🚨 Ancient forests are HUMANITY'S NATURAL HERITAGE - We can stop old growth logging in BC, but to do that the province must face MASSSIVE domestic and international public pressure. BC's government, led by is facilitating the loss of ancient forests that took countless generations to grow and will never grow back once they are gone.The US consumes 60% of BC's lumber, with BC's oldest trees being turned into shingles and cedar siding for saunas, decking, and other luxury goods. If the US market ditches cedar exported from BC, the government will have to take notice.TAKE ACTION CALL RAVI PARMAR (250-387-6240) - BC's Minister of Forests: Tell him to STOP approving old growth logging.MEET with your MLA to demand legislation to protect old growth forests.

This movement is gaining INTERNATIONAL ATTENTION ‼️ The Associated Press (AP) recently visited Vancouver Island to document the flight to preserve BC’s last ancient forests.

This is one of the first times our minister of forests has even talked to the media about old growth forests, and his fear mongering about the collapse of an industry, with some protectionism sprinkled in and a heavy dose of dismissal for “strong emotions” around old growth forests just emphasize the fact that he is not suited for this job.

It’s time that the NDP get serious about protecting old growth forest.

First Court Hearing :: Wednesday, July 29 - Gather outside the
courthouse at 8:15 am

8:15 am: Court Circle. Meet at the Blanshard St. entrance to the
Victoria courthouse (850 Burdett Avenue) to express our support and
gratitude through words and music. At 8:50 those of us who are able will
go into the courtroom.

9:00 am: Court addresses the lawsuit against Elder Bill and an
application from Tsawak-qin Forestry (Western Forest Products) to extend
the Walbran Injunction for another year. This is a 'Judicial Management
Conference'.

10:00 am: A continuation of the sentencing of Kenni ("Trivia") Apt—an
important test case to determine if the more lenient sentencing
precedents from Fairy Creek should prevail, or whether stiffer (often
custodial) sentences from Trans Mountain are appropriate.

Come down and show your support. Pack the court house!!
