Visitor Centre: Tourism Counsellors are excited to help you discover some of Ladysmith's hidden treasure. Our established mandates:
-To enhance and advance the commercial, industrial, civic and general trade interests of the Ladysmith and its surrounding area.
-To undertake an active leadership role in the community by initiating, coordinating, and developing programs for the benefit of the business community.
-To encourage communication between private and public sectors, business and labour.
-To be a representative of the business community and speak on behalf of the business community to municipal, provincial and federal governments. Since its establishment in 1930, the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce has been a valuable resource and support network to the local business community. While Chamber membership offers important benefits such as group insurance and discount programs, the role and responsibilities of the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce involves much more. Your opinions do count and your voice should be heard! The Chamber provides an opportunity for the business community to make its opinions known to government representatives on Municipal, Regional, Provincial and Federal levels. Through membership polling, forums and feedback, your Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce works to provide leadership and direction for local business. The Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce is holding a municipal candidates forum in partnership with Ladysmith Downtown Business.

The forum is your chance to hear directly from candidates for Mayor & Council of Ladysmith in a live discussion. They will answer questions and share their perspectives and priorities for our community ahead of the Municipal Election on October 17, 2026.

This non-partisan event is free and open to all community members. No registration required. The forum will take place at Aggie Hall on Tuesday, September 29th from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Doors open at 6pm. The Candidates Forum will be livestreamed and recorded and available for viewing online.
