In one of the casemates of Fort No.1 lies the officers’ mess, a reminder of a military camp that once included barracks, stables, workshops, and even a hospital ✨🎖️.
This place evokes the lives of those who oversaw the fort’s construction, balancing duty, authority, and comfort.

Did you know that the cannon installed at Fort No.1 is not a reproduction, but an authentic Armstrong cannon? 🔎⚙️

Its range was 3 to 5 km, with particularly remarkable accuracy at 3 km. The cannon we have here has never been modified, making it an exceptionally rare piece. Only six identical examples remain in the world.
