🍂 The 2026 season has come to an end!

Yesterday, we welcomed our last visitors of the year to Fort Number One. Thank you to the 5,526 visitors who explored our tunnels, admired our breathtaking views, and shared their passion for history with us.

What If there had been a fourth Fort in Lévis?

In the 1860s, British military engineers considered building two additional forts to complete the defensive system in Lévis. Although they were never constructed, historical plans now allow us to imagine what the fourth fort might have looked like.

📜 Through this historical illustration, discover a project that could have joined the three forts built to protect Québec City and the St. Lawrence River from a potential invasion.

The correct answer was:

🧱 C) A brickworks

Indeed, Fort N0.2 was never used as a brickworks. However, as surprising as it may seem, the site did at various times host:

⚾ A baseball stadium
🍄 A mushroom farm
⛳ A golf course

These uses predated the construction of the Desjardins Complex, which now occupies this area.
