Waterloo Pioneers Memorial Tower is one of the 20 local destinations you get to discover during the Doors Open Waterloo Region!

Head to the tower on September 19 and get the rare opportunity to look inside its walls. Everyone is welcome.

The site will be open from 10 am to 4 pm for self-oriented visits and there is no pre-registration required.

Oh, and admission is free!

August 25, 1939: Anticipating Canada’s participation in the Second World War, Prime Minister Mackenzie King begins mobilizing Canadian military forces.

Canada would formally enter the war on September 10, 1939.
