Happy Victoria Day!

This holiday was created to honour Queen Victoria, who ruled Great Britain and Ireland from 1837-1901.

Parks Canada’s is an excellent relic of the Victorian Era and today is a great day to wander the site’s grounds and ponder the natural world like a Victorian lady or gentleman of years gone by.

And don’t forget to check back in the fall when Woodside’s historic house opens for the season. We’ll have plenty of Victorian-era events and programs for you to learn more about this fascinating time in history.
