Foster FACS Waterloo

Foster FACS Waterloo Building relationships with families and communities for the well-being and safety of children and youth.

Family & Children’s Services works to strengthen and support families so that children and youth are able to remain safely at home or stay with relatives. When families have challenges protecting and keeping their children safe, foster parents are there to provide a safe and nurturing home environment for as long as the child needs. The goal is to reunite children and youth with their families as

soon as possible. When it is not possible for children to be raised by their biological parents or relatives, we look for an adoptive family. Children needing an adoptive family can be from newborn to 18 years of age and from a variety of cultural, racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. By following our page you will regularly find out about upcoming events, training opportunities, current statistics and interesting articles relating to fostering and adoption. Please call 519-576-0540 or email [email protected] to learn more about fostering or adopting with our agency.

Today is Child and Youth in Care Day — a time to honour and amplify the voices, experiences, and strengths of children and youth in and from care. 💙 As youth remind us: “We are more than our stories; we are writing them. My past informs me, but it does not define me.” Today, and every day, we celebrate resilience, courage, and the power of young people to shape their own futures.
