Our Kitchener Immigrant & Employment Services location will be undergoing a renewal from February 19 to March 2, 2026.

During this time, the 3rd floor Employment Services (ES) and Immigrant Services (IS) areas will be closed. Hallway Rooms 8, 9, and 10 will remain open for scheduled in-person appointments only.

We encourage all clients to book their appointments online in advance. Our team is still here to support you and we look forward to welcoming you back to our fully reopened space on March 3.

Please note that we will not be accepting walk-in clients from December 15, 2025 to January 5, 2026.

During this time, services will be available by appointment only (if applicable). Regular walk-in services will resume on January 6, 2026.

Partner Appreciation Post - Waterloo Public Health ♥️

A heartfelt thank you to Waterloo Region Public Health for being such an incredible partner in supporting our newcomer community.

With their collaboration, we’ve been able to run multiple immunization and dental health clinics for newcomers across the region and every single time, their team shows up with efficiency, kindness, and unwavering professionalism.

Their staff consistently treats diverse families with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. From navigating language barriers to creating a welcoming environment for parents and children alike, they go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels safe, supported, and cared for.

Our Canada Connect crew got hands-on with real-time transit practice 🫶🏻 tapping their tickets, navigating routes, and building that “I got this” confidence 🚍💙

Last Thursday, we headed to St. Jacobs Market using the public transit, learned new things, while exploring the market and had so much fun travelling as a team ✨

Parent’s Night at GCI was a huge success! 🎉

On October 23, 2025, we welcomed families at Galt Collegiate Institute and were supported by 17 incredible student volunteers who assisted in 11 different languages from Arabic and Mandarin to Swahili and Farsi 🌍💬

It was heartwarming to connect with so many families and receive such positive feedback from parents, staff, and administration 💙
