TransitionKW

TransitionKW TransitionKW is Transition community for KW region. We encourage citizens to become involved and empowered in creating a viable and sustainable future.

TransitionKW encourages citizens to become involved and empowered in creating a viable and sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. We seek to do this in an environmentally, socially, and economically responsible fashion. Our model, and the model of all Transition Towns, is The Transition Handbook by Rob Hopkins. His book provides a blueprint for creating a richer, more vibrant com

munity through the re-localization of all the services and resources that we need. We cannot ignore the problems of depleting fossil fuels and global warming. However, there are solutions. We aim to unite with others to share our knowledge and skills to find these solutions.

Here's a fun spring activity: Enjoy the outdoors while helping to take care of a local park for Earth Day!

Organizing a litter cleanup is easy. You just have to gather your friends, family or coworkers, and we'll provide the supplies, tips and help you dispose of the collected litter.

Or, you can choose to join the city-led cleanup in Waterloo Park on April 25.

If you want to do even more, you can also sign up for one-time or ongoing park projects, like planting a pollinator garden or helping to mulch local trails.
