Today, we remember the 14 women killed at École Polytechnique and all who continue to face gender-based violence.

Violence is preventable. As we honour their lives, we also recognize the ongoing work needed to build safer communities.

At FVPWR, we are committed to strengthening our community’s response to gender-based violence and supporting a coordinated, survivor-centred system of care.

We remember. We commit. We move forward together.

Self care IS for everyone, but must be realistic! Here are some ideas for those who do not benefit from traditional self-care activities.

- Just be
- Give yourself some compassion
- Rest - whether that be having a seat, lying down, or taking a nap
- Keep hydrated
- Take a few deep breaths
- Give yourself permission to rest when you can
