Heritage mines in the morning. Boreal paddling in the afternoon. Poutine and cold beer at night. This weekend itinerary has it all 👆

The roads around Kirkland Lake don’t get talked about enough. 🏍️

Highway 101 east of town is one of Ontario’s best-kept motorcycle touring secrets with pristine pavement, constant elevation changes, twisty corners, and almost no traffic on a 475 km loop that riders keep putting on their must-ride lists.

Add Highway 66 for back-to-back twisties, duck north on 672 into Esker Lakes Provincial Park, or go big on the full Lake Temiskaming Tour—857 km through lakeside cliffs, historic towns, and across the Quebec border into Rouyn-Noranda.

Kirkland Lake sits right at the junction of Hwy 11 and 66. Fuel, food, beds, and serious riding in every direction.

Save this one for your 2026 ride plan.
