The Public Works Department will be completing the following operational work throughout the community:

📅 Monday, September 14, 2026
⏰ 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

🚧 Road Maintenance

• Grading at Landfill and Water treatment Road
• Culvert replacement on Federal Street
• Sidewalk replacement on Burnside Drive and Government Road
• Murdock Creek spillway reinstatement near wastewater treatment plant

Members of the public are advised to expect partial / temporary road closures in the area. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly, allow additional travel time, and follow all posted signage.

Location: Duncan Avenue South (from Kirkpatrick Street to Dixon Avenue), Woods Street (from Government Road to Poplar Avenue), and Taylor Avenue (from Woods Street to Lebel Avenue).

🚰 Water & Sewer System Operations

• Utility line locates
• Valve Maintenance & tie-ins
• Curb stop repairs throughout Kirkland Lake with Vac truck operations
• Continue watermain relining project with Fer-Pal
• Sewer Inspections

If the water is brown, run cold water until it's clear. It is safe to drink once cleared. If there are any homes that don't have water, please contact the Public Works department. If it's after hours, please contact the afterhours number 705-568-7765.
