A huge thank you to the incredible team at Arabesque Academy of Dance for their generous donation of personal hygiene products, food, and warm clothing in support of the ICH community.

With the recent cold snap this past weekend, these warm clothes were quickly put to good use and distributed to those who needed them most. Kindness and community spirit truly make a difference!

We’re so grateful to the dancers, families, and studio staff who helped collect and organize these thoughtful donations. It’s inspiring to see young people stepping up to support their community in such a meaningful way❄️🧤

It’s National Addictions Awareness Week: a time to break stigma, spark meaningful conversations and remind our community that support is always within reach.

We know that taking the first step can feel overwhelming. Did you know that we offer a free, accessible online informational program?

**Understanding Addiction Video Series**
Free online video series with rotating modules include Triggers & Coping Strategies, Self-Care, Coping with Negative Thoughts, Mindfulness and more. Our group facilitators have made our group sessions available on line via video, with worksheets and resources to support each session.

These sessions can be accessed at any time and as often as you wish: https://amhs-kfla.ca/understanding-addiction-support-group-videos-now-available-online

**Reach Out for Help**
If you or someone you care about is ready to access support, our Intake & Referrals team is here to help: https://amhs-kfla.ca/get-help/intake-referrals/ as well as the team at AccessMHA https://www.accessmha.ca/

You are not alone. Recovery is possible with the right support

In June, Ontario’s Consumption and Treatment Services (CTS) and Supervised Consumption Services (SCS) teams received the 2025 Community Health Champion Award from the Alliance for Healthier Communities.

Among those honoured was our own CTS team at the Integrated Care Hub—known for their compassion, courage, and commitment to equity.

Despite the life-saving impact of CTS, harm reduction work remains deeply misunderstood. “Many people still think we’re enabling drug use...But what we actually do is provide safety, dignity, and support for people who use substances.”
