We’re looking forward to joining the Queen’s Family Health Team on June 10th to facilitate a shortened version of our Trauma-Informed Approaches in Primary Care training. 💙

This session will explore how trauma and adversity can impact health, behaviour, and patient interactions — while providing practical, resilience-focused strategies that can support safer, more compassionate care environments.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue these important conversations with healthcare professionals who are committed to building more trauma-informed systems of care.

What a day 👏

Our Building Resilience in Practice event was an incredible success—bringing together practitioners, partners, and leaders to deepen their understanding of trauma-informed care and how it shows up in real-world practice.

Events like this are so important. When we come together to share knowledge, build skills, and strengthen connections, we move closer to a more compassionate, responsive, and resilient system of care for everyone.

A huge thank you to our outstanding presenters:
Anne Marie McDonald, Bridget Glassco, Wendy Vuyk, and Dr. Mary Rowland—your insight, expertise, and passion made this day truly impactful.

And a special thank you to Anastassiya Khrokova and the Frontenac, Lennox & Addington Ontario Health Team for trusting us to facilitate this meaningful work. We’re grateful for the partnership and shared commitment to building resilience across our community.

Here’s to continuing the conversation—and the impact 💙

Roger had a wonderful time speaking with students in the Queen's University Faculty of Education yesterday, Monday, April 28.

It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with future educators and explore how understanding the impacts of adversity can help shape more compassionate, responsive classrooms. Thank you to the faculty and students for the warm welcome and thoughtful conversation — we’re always inspired by opportunities to learn alongside emerging educators. 💙
