Kingston Community Organizations Launch Welcoming Agencies Declaration

Kingston Immigration Partnership - KIP in collaboration with Kingston Community Health Centres, KEYS Employment & Newcomer Services, ACFOMI, and Kingston Literacy & Skills have officially launched the Welcoming Agencies Declaration. This shared commitment ensures that individuals with irregular immigration status, also known as non-status or undocumented, can access services without fear of being reported to the Canada Border Services Agency or police.

Due to shifting policies, many newcomers face severe barriers to safety and care. Building on the City of Kingston's 2017 Access Without Fear policy, this initiative establishes a stronger support network rooted in dignity and equity.
