June is recognized as PTSD Awareness Month.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone, but it is especially common among those who have served their communities and country — including military members, veterans, first responders, public safety personnel, and their families.

Many people living with PTSD carry invisible burdens that others may never see. They continue to show up for their families, their workplaces, and their communities while quietly navigating challenges that can be difficult to explain.

At Never Marching Alone, PTSD awareness is deeply personal.

In 2022, our founder, Matthew Galloway, was diagnosed with PTSD following his military service. As he learned more about trauma, mental health, and the realities faced by so many within the service community, he recognized the importance of creating conversations around these often unseen struggles.

That journey led to the creation of the 40/40 Series and ultimately the founding of Never Marching Alone.

Throughout June, we encourage everyone to take a moment to learn more about PTSD, challenge stigma, and remind those who may be struggling that they are not alone.

Behind the uniform, the pager, the radio, or the badge, there is a person carrying things others may never see.

If you are struggling, please reach out. Support is available, and you do not have to carry the weight alone.
