Kindersley Fire Department Public Education Division Joins Westberry Elementary School for Annual Play Day.
Yesterday was a day filled with laughter, excitement, water, and plenty of sunshine as members of the Kindersley Fire Department's Public Education Division joined students and staff at Westberry Elementary School for their annual Play Day.
To help make the day extra special, firefighters closed a portion of the street and set up a fun-filled obstacle course for students to navigate. The course challenged participants to run, and work their way through a variety of activities, all while enjoying the enthusiasm and encouragement of firefighters, classmates, teachers and volunteers.
With temperatures rising throughout the day, firefighters also made sure everyone had a chance to cool off by spraying water, providing a refreshing break from the heat and adding even more fun to the event. It even ended in a water fight between some of our members.
The obstacle course is part of the Kindersley Fire Department's Public Education Program, which aims to engage with the community in positive and interactive ways while promoting fire safety awareness and building relationships with local youth.
"We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with our community," said members of the Public Education Division. "Seeing the smiles on the children's faces and being part of such a fun event makes it all worthwhile."
The Kindersley Fire Department would like to thank Westberry Elementary School for inviting us to be part of their annual Play Day and allowing us to share in a day of fun, and community spirit. We look forward to continuing to support events that bring our community together.
Thanks again to all that participated
