Just a reminder that our Back-to-School themed Story & Craft is happening tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kindersley Library!

This program is perfect for children ages 3-6 and is a fun way to kick off the new school year with a story and a creative craft. 🍎🖍️

🧱 LEGO DAY IS TODAY! 🧱

Come on down and get creative! 🌟 Drop in anytime between 11 AM–4 PM and build, create, and let your imagination run wild. No registration needed!

👀 Children under 8 must be supervised by an adult.

⚠️ Please note: This is an open-play LEGO event, not a drop-off day camp program. There will be no library staff upstairs supervising the LEGO program.

We have FOUR fun programs planned to wrap up an amazing summer at the Kindersley Library! 📚✨

🌙 Tuesday – Story & Craft 10:30am
Join us for a bedtime-themed story and craft! Perfect for our littlest readers. 🧸🌙 Ages 3-6

👹 Wednesday – Crafts for Kids 2pm
We’re making Yarn Monsters! 🧶👀 Let your creativity run wild and make your very own silly (or spooky!) monster! Registration is required.

💎 Thursday – Teen Night: Bedazzling! 6:30pm
Get ready to sparkle and shine! ✨ Teens can bedazzle a pair of sunglasses or a hair clip, or bring a small item from home to cover in gems. Registration is required.

🧱 Friday – Open Play LEGO Day
Wrap up summer with a full day of LEGO fun! Come and go anytime between 11:00 AM–4:00 PM and build, create and play!
Please note: This is NOT a drop-off event. Children under 8 must have a parent/guardian remain with them.

📚🚐 Meet Jake--One of the Friendly Faces Behind Our Book Deliveries! 🚐📚

Have you ever wondered how books from libraries all across Saskatchewan make their way to the Kindersley Library? Meet Jake, one of two Wheatland Regional Library drivers who service our area! ❤️

Jake brings us our book deliveries twice a week, travelling the highways and byways to keep our library connected with collections from all over the province. And he always arrives with a smile, a friendly wave, and, of course, a van full of books! 😊📚

We are so grateful for the miles Jake--and our other driver--put in to keep books moving and make it possible for our patrons to access materials from libraries across Saskatchewan.

So the next time you see the Wheatland Regional Library van on the highway, give Jake a honk and a wave! 👋📣

📚🏆 Wheatland Reading Cup Update! 🏆📚

We’re still holding on to 6th place in the Wheatland Reading Cup! 🎉📖

Our community goal is 275,000 reading minutes, and as of Monday, we have already logged an amazing 93,991 minutes! 👏 That’s a lot of reading happening in our community!

It’s not too late to join in! If you haven’t registered yet, you can still sign up and start logging your reading minutes using the Beanstack app. Every minute counts toward our community total! ⏱️📚
