Womenโ€™s House has recently launched our Coaching Boys into Men program: a free, evidence-based violence prevention initiative, equipping coaches with lessons to teach high school athletes about healthy relationships, consent, and respectful behaviour.
This addresses gender-based violence, mental health, and healthy masculinity. Their goal is to mentor young men (ages 11-24) to be community leaders by promoting positive bystander behaviour.
Our hope with this program is to properly teach coaching staff and team environments to focus on development to help improve mental health literacy for youth.
