Week 8 Leader & LIT of the Week✨
Our final Leader of the Week for this summer is none other than Kian, and what a way to close out the season. Kian has been an absolute standout in his first year on staff, working with both the Tigers and the Peaks. He was an LIT last year, and we couldn’t have been more excited to see his name on a staff application. Safe to say, he did not disappoint. Kian is the kind of leader every camp dreams of. He’s kind, consistent, and confident—someone who can take charge when needed but never forgets how to have fun. Whether he's organizing a game, stepping in to support a co-leader, or leading a Just Dance session with full commitment, he does it all with heart and intention. He's our go-to Just Dance manager, and honestly, we don’t know what we’d do without him. Both Tigers and Peaks campers adored him. No exaggeration—at least five kids a day would come up and ask, “Where’s Kian?” He became someone the campers looked up to, wanted to be near, and wanted to be like. That kind of presence can’t be taught—it comes from being genuine, reliable, and truly caring about the people around you.
We’re really hoping this summer wasn’t Kian’s last with us. He’s been a core part of our team, and camp is better with him in it.
This week, we're also shining the spotlight on Madeline Hunter (not pictured - our bad), one of our incredible LITs who spent multiple days volunteering with us this summer. While she may be on the quieter side, Madeline made a big impact in her own calm and steady way. Camp can be a crazy environment, and stepping into it as a volunteer isn’t always easy—but Madeline handled it with grace, patience, and a consistently positive attitude. She built genuine connections with the kids, showed up every day ready to help, and truly led by example. She was always willing to lend a hand, whether it was helping a camper, supporting a staff member, or quietly stepping into whatever role was needed. Her presence made a difference—not just for the campers, but for the entire team.
Madeline was a model LIT this summer and a wonderful influence on the kids around her. We're so grateful for the time and energy she brought to camp.
