Hi Everyone!

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for making the past six years such a memorable and rewarding experience. As I head back to Calgary to complete my final year of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, I reflect on how much this community and this pool have meant to me.

It is bittersweet to be stepping away, as I have truly cherished the relationships I’ve built with your children and the many wonderful memories we’ve created together. Thank you to the amazing staff that I got to work with! You have all made my time here so enjoyable. While I will greatly miss being here full-time, I am confident that the pool will continue to thrive under the capable hands of the new team next year.

Although I may not be returning in the same capacity, I do hope to still be involved in a smaller role, helping with the pool’s startup and lessons when I can. Thank you for trusting me over the years and allowing me the privilege of being a part of your children’s growth and accomplishments.

This place will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will miss you all!

FREE SWIM TODAY! Make sure to come out and enjoy our last free swim of the summer! Thank you to the Kerrobert Credit Union for making this possible!

We only have one more day of swimming left! Make sure to come for a swim before we close at 8pm tomorrow night!!

Due to turning the paddling pool into a hot tub, no minors will be allowed in the paddling pool after 6pm tomorrow!

“I’ll be heading back to Fredericton, New Brunswick for my second year of school and to play hockey, which I’m really looking forward to. My favourite part was seeing the kids having fun and building their confidence in the water. I plan to come back as it’s a great place work!”

Zayda:

“I plan to take Education at Medicine Hat College while continuing to play hockey. My favourite part of working at the pool was teaching swimming lessons! I love to see the kids improvement over sessions and have fun with them as they learn to swim! I plan to come back to the pool next year, guarding and teaching lessons!”

“My name is Jagger Keith and I have been a guard at the pool for the last four summers. Fall I will be returning to high school where I will be entering into my last year of high school. My favourite thing of working at the pool has been teaching lessons, and I enjoy getting to learn all of the kids’ personalities. I haven’t decided on my plans for next summer but there’s a chance I would return because I do enjoy it so much.”

Callie:

“This fall I will be starting my first year of my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Saskpoly in Regina. My favourite part of working at the pool is getting to teach swimming lessons! I am unsure if I will come back next year, but if I don’t return, I will most likely be working in healthcare.”

Kennedi:

In the fall I plan to go into my grade 12 year at NWCS. My favourite part of working at the pool was getting to teach swimming lessons. I have not decided if I will be returning back to the pool next year

Brooklyn Shepherd:

This fall, I’ll be moving to Melfort and starting Grade 11 at a new school. I’m also hoping to continue lifeguarding through the winter, staying active and involved in something I enjoy as I settle into this next chapter. My favorite part about working at the pool is getting to see both new and familiar faces every day it creates such a fun and welcoming environment. I really enjoy being around my coworkers, and the job is a great way to get me out of the house and trying new things. I even taught aquasize for the first time, and even though I didn’t think I’d like it at first, I actually ended up really enjoying it! I'm hoping to come back to the pool next year, but with the move and everything changing, I’ll just have to see where life takes me. If things work out, I’d love to return it’s been such a great experience. Honestly, if I don’t end up coming back, I’m not even sure what I’d do because it’s become such a big part of my routine and something I really enjoy.
