The Princeton Library is open today from 12:30–7:00 pm at the special request of the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen to support evacuees in the area.

We’re here to support our community and provide a welcoming space during this difficult time.

As wildfires continue to affect communities across the Okanagan, we know this is a difficult and uncertain time for many in our community.

Our Youth Services team has put together two staff-created reading lists that may be useful for children and families right now:

🧰 Be Prepared, Forest Fires: books and resources about wildfire preparedness and safety. https://orl.bibliocommons.com/v2/list/display/177183573/2076564009

💛 Big Emotions: books to help children understand and navigate feelings such as worry, fear, and uncertainty. https://orl.bibliocommons.com/v2/list/display/177183573/2076554519

We’re sharing these resources for anyone who may find them helpful during this challenging time. Please take care, stay safe, and follow guidance from local authorities.
