The Kemptville Legion is excited to partner with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute to host a free one day cardiac clinic. See the invitation information below. Register by phone or by QR code.

The Ottawa Heart Institute has launched “One Million Canadian Hearts,” a pioneering initiative to screen one million Canadians for cardiovascular disease risk factors. Identifying and addressing risk factors early – before heart disease progresses – allows for timely intervention that can slow or even prevent its development. This initiative enables individuals to take proactive steps for their heart health.
We welcome anyone who is 18 years of age and older with no known heart issues to participate in this free mobile risk factor screening.
Your participation will be a 30 to 60-minute appointment and involve:
An evaluation with the registered healthcare professional who will measure your blood pressure, and a rapid finger poke blood tests to evaluate your cardiovascular risk factors (cholesterol and diabetes)
If you are over 65, you will also have a mini ultrasound and mini ECG of your heart done by the sonographer. Your results will be reviewed by the cardiologist
Recommendations will be provided at the end of your visit
