The Bridge Youth & Family Services

The Bridge Youth & Family Services Founded in 1969, The Bridge offers support to youth & families in the Okanagan community. We embrace the Okanagan community with two distinct arms of service.

We work preventatively with new parents and their infants, we support families with various programs and we provide detox and recovery programs to youth and adults. Since inception, we have focused on community and families by working preventatively with new parents and their infants, counselling families who are struggling with their role, and working on behalf of the Ministry of Children and Fam

ily Development with young people in our community who are the most marginalized, street entrenched and disenfranchised. Our other arm of service includes our recovery and addictions programs. The Bridge is the largest provider of substance use services for the Interior Health Authority, we provide Supported Recovery Housing, Intensive Live-In Youth & Adult Treatment, community-based naloxone training, Outreach Overdose Prevention, and Withdrawal Management – detox – for both young people and adults. This week, we recognize BC Child and Youth in Care Week and celebrate the strength, resilience, and potential of children and youth in and from care.

Every child and youth deserves to feel safe, supported, connected, and valued. BC Child and Youth in Care Week is an opportunity to honour their experiences, amplify their voices, and recognize the many people who walk alongside them on their journey.

At The Bridge Youth & Family Services, we are committed to supporting children, youth, and families through programs and services that foster connection, belonging, and wellbeing. We know that positive relationships, caring adults, and strong communities can make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

This week, we celebrate the achievements of children and youth in care and reaffirm our commitment to helping every young person thrive.
