We will have 3 silent auction items. Can send a bid to Reece at 306 795 7898. Bidding will close at the end of the last game. Service in the rink is spotty, so best would be to come for a refreshment and write down your bids.

A big thank you goes out. We have received a fire skid from global medic and the association of fire chiefs. Looking forward to getting it mounted up and into service for spring. This should be a big help with those grass and field fires

Our department is normally about 10 calls for service a year. Last night we responded to call #18 and while writing this received #19. Remember if we are blocking the highway someone is having a far worse night than your inconvenience to turn around. Or you could wait the 6 hours with us and you may even get a snack courtesy of the chiefs wife.
Unfortunately investigations sometimes need to be done and they take time. And detours are not supposed to be up to us as we may not what roads are rated for your loads.
Also snacks are much appreciated.
Have a safe fall and enjoy the northern lights if you find yourself outside.

We were called out last night for a large structure fire. Word spreads fast. By the time I got to the hall we had 4 calls offering to haul water. Thank you to Lutz's at Double L, Heggies at Eskdale acres, Thompson at T2, Moxham farms, and Antoneshyn farms. We had over 100,000 liters of water to try and cool the flames.

‼️‼️

Okay, let's talk about something important. When you're passing by an emergency scene, please think twice before posting photos or videos on social media. We get it people get “excited” and want to share what they have just seen, or you feel excited you are able to participate in an online post by commenting. BUT…. You never know who might be involved, and seeing those images online can be incredibly painful for their families. Imagine finding out that your loved one was in an accident through a random Facebook post – it's just not right. Let's show some respect and give those families the space they need during a difficult time, and have a little decency for everyone involved. Your photo might do more harm than good.

Thanks for understanding
