Wanted: Volunteer Mural Painters. Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan
Come and help paint a mural before it is mounted on the outer wall of the Otonabee Memorial Community Centre in Keene. This project aims to bring residents together as they create a new landmark.

A design by long-time resident Ellen Cowie will appear on a 24-foot by eight-foot mural. Deeply connected to the farming, sporting, Indigenous and artistic communities, she incorporated all these themes into her design. She moved to Keene from Peterborough in 2019 and delights at being part of this project. We have four time slots available: June 6 & 7, 10 a.m. to noon and 1:30-4 p.m. The artist and painting instructors will guide and inspire painters of any talent level. Organizers provide the painting supplies, but bring your own smock of work clothes in case of messes. Sign up for one or multiple sessions and feel free to bring a friend along. The more the merrier!

Now this sounds like lots of fun!
