For Indigenous Youth Aged 16-27

This group offers opportunities for youth to be in direct relationship with the land through cultural practices and connection. Cultural practices may include: traditional medicine indentification and harvesting, animal tracking through print and behavior observation, fishing, playing and more!

Dinner provided

Shakamohta On The Land will connect on Thursdays at 2:30pm in the lobby at Kikékyelc. We will convoy to each land location and return to the Kekuli by 5:00pm for supper each day.

Lii Michif Otipemisiwak Family & Community Services (LMO) is excited to be part of Kamloops Healthy Kids Week by offering a FREE Métis Family Wellness & Land-Based Activity Kit for families to enjoy together at home.

Our take-home kit includes activities that celebrate:

🌿 Land-based learning and connection to nature
🎨 Creative family activities
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Opportunities to learn, play, and connect together

Are you a Métis young adult between the ages of 16 and 27 looking for an affordable and supportive housing opportunity?

Kikeyelc: A Place of Belonging has suite openings.

Unique Features of Kikeyelc: A Place of Belonging:
🔹This is a dry housing unit, no drugs or alcohol allowed on site.
🔹Guests must be approved and only between the hours of 7:00am to 11:00pm.
🔹There are no overnight guests allowed.
🔹No pets allowed.
🔹Receive the support and guidance of a Social Worker and a Support Worker.
🔹Elders on-site.
🔹Programming on-site.
