It's motorcycle season! A few tips:

🏍️ Motorcycles
☑️ Remember, all the gear, all the time.

How to safely share the road with slow-moving road maintenance vehicles:

1. Adjust speed. Slow to 70km/h or less (if the posted speed is 80km/h or more).

2. Move over. Give crews plenty of room to work.

🤔 🛣️ Did You Know?

In British Columbia, drivers are required by law to slow down and move over when passing a vehicle stopped on the roadside with 🚔 🚒 🚑 flashing lights.
This includes highway 👷👷‍♂️ 🚧 maintenance vehicles using amber beacons.

When approaching these vehicles:
➡️ Slow to 70 km/h in areas with speed limits of 80 km/h or higher
➡️ Slow to 40 km/h in areas with lower speed limits
➡️ Move into the lane furthest from the vehicle when it is safe to do so

These rules are in place to help protect roadside 👷👷‍♂️workers, including Argo crews and others working near live traffic, who are out there every day helping keep roads safe for the travelling public.

At the end of the day, we all have 💛 families, and everyone deserves to make it home safely.

❗ Failing to slow down and move over can result in a fine and penalty points.
