So proud of our military and our students!

Today Irma School high school students attended Career Day at Wainwright High School. They had the opportunity to tour the gym, where booths from a variety of post-secondary institutions were set up, allowing students to explore different educational pathways and future opportunities.

Students also attended informative sessions featuring guest speakers who shared their knowledge and experiences in different careers. It was a great opportunity to learn about potential career paths, ask questions, and start thinking about the possibilities for their futures!

A big thank you to Wainwright High School and all the presenters and post-secondary representatives who helped make this event a valuable experience for our students!

Today, our students joined members of the community along the highway to show their support for the Canadian Armed Forces members affected by Saturday’s tragic incident at CFB Wainwright.

As the soldiers made their way home to Edmonton, our students stood alongside the community to offer a simple but powerful message: You are not alone. We are thinking of you. We stand with you.

Sometimes, support doesn’t require big words or grand gestures. Sometimes, it means showing up, standing together, and letting others know that their community cares.

We are proud of our students for taking part in this meaningful show of support and for reminding us that compassion, respect, and community matter.

Our hearts are with our military families, first responders, and all of the surrounding communities involved, following the tragic incident at CFB Wainwright and the MD of Wainwright.

We understand this tragic incident will be felt deeply throughout our communities and beyond. Our military families and first responders are an important and valued part of Buffalo Trail Public Schools and our communities.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to those who have lost loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted during this difficult time. ❤️
