Today, members from the South Simcoe Police Service joined Mayor, Council and staff from the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury in raising the Pride flag at the Bradford Courthouse, reaffirming our shared commitment to advancing safe, inclusive, and welcoming communities for everyone.

Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community while recognizing the importance of ensuring that every person has the right to live safely, openly, and authentically.

The Pride flag is a symbol of inclusion, visibility, and belonging, and we remain committed to supporting welcoming and respectful communities where all people, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression feel safe, valued, and supported every day.

Diversity strengthens our communities, and together we can continue to break down barriers to inclusion and challenge stigma and discrimination wherever they exist. Through mutual respect, understanding, and inclusion, we help create a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Happy Pride Month.

Public Assistance Requested

South Simcoe Police are investigating a fail-to-remain collision that occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 31, 2026 near Holland Street West and Summerlyn Trail in Bradford.

A black 2021 or 2022 Ram 1500 left the roadway, travelled across the sidewalk and struck the McDonald’s restaurant. The driver then fled the scene.

The vehicle will have significant front driver’s-side damage and likely some minor damage to the passenger side mid level.

Several parts were left behind at the scene, including the front driver’s-side fender, a headlight assembly, part of the bumper cover, and additional vehicle components containing unique manufacturing data that investigators believe will assist in locating the vehicle in time.

Police have confirmed the vehicle exited onto Miller Park travelling eastbound around 7:36 am.

The responsible driver is urged to contact police immediately.

Anyone with information, dash-camera video, surveillance footage, or who has seen a black Ram 1500 with fresh front-end damage is asked to contact South Simcoe Police Constable Erin Troian at 905-775-3311 or [email protected]

To submit a tip anonymously, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or online at www.crimestopperssdm.com. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display, and you will remain anonymous.
