💜 Purple Flowers

I lost one of my closest friends, Heather, to cancer in November 2021.

A few months before she passed, she shared a dream with me that included beautiful purple flowers. She wasn't sure if there was any meaning behind it. The following day, feeling overwhelmed, she asked God for a sign that everything would be okay—that there was hope beyond this life.

While driving later that day, she came to a stop and saw the very same purple flowers from her dream.

For Heather, those flowers became a symbol of hope, peace, and reassurance.

When I see purple flowers, I often think of her and am reminded that even in difficult seasons, hope can still be found.

If you are grieving, feeling overwhelmed, missing a loved one, or facing a difficult season in life, please know that you are not alone. 🌿

🌿 As a new week begins, I'm reminded of the importance of rest.
For me, Sundays have always been a time to slow down, worship, spend time with family, and prepare for the week ahead.

In a world that often feels busy and rushed, taking time to pause can be such a gift.

How do you recharge and find peace before a new week begins? 🌱

🌿 Counting Blessings
We often focus on what we do not have. This weekend, take a moment to appreciate the little things that may be what someone else is hoping and praying for—health, food, shelter, safety, family, friends, and connection.
There is so much we do have.
Let's count our blessings one by one and keep those who may be struggling in our thoughts and prayers.

Wishing you a peaceful and restful weekend 🙌🌿

Muskoka Victim Services
Timea's Cause

We want to thank everyone who attended Eyes Wide Open, a human trafficking and safety awareness event hosted earlier this month.

Ontario has the second highest rates of human trafficking in Canada, and it’s because of events like Eyes Wide Open that our communities are able to learn about its signs and stop it from happening to others.

We appreciate Timea E. Nagy sharing her story as a survivor of human trafficking, and the work she does to raise awareness in our Muskoka communities and beyond. We’re also grateful to the other community sponors and supporters that made this event possible: Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions, Rotary Huntsville People of Action, Timea’s Cause Inc. Social Enterprise, YourTV, Huntsville Doppler, 105.5 Moose FM, Pharmasave, the District Municipality of Muskoka, Rotary Club of North Muskoka, Avante, Muskoka D.A.R.T., and the Ontario Provincial Police.

If you’d like to learn more about Timea’s anti-trafficking initiatives, visit timeascause.ca.
