The Rotary Club of Huntsville and Huntsville Doppler will jointly host a mayoral debate on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Algonquin Theatre.
The debate, scheduled from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., will give residents an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking to become Huntsville’s next mayor.
The debate takes on added importance this election following the Province of Ontario’s expansion of Strong Mayor Powers to Huntsville.
Residents are encouraged to help shape the debate by submitting the questions they most want Huntsville’s mayoral candidates to answer.

Due to time constraints, a committee made up of members of both organizations will select the most pertinent questions for inclusion in the debate.

Submit your question by email to [email protected].

ShelterBox is an international disaster‑relief organization that provides emergency shelter, essential household supplies, and technical assistance to families who have lost their homes due to disaster or conflict.
Funds generated from our annual Internet Auction at the end of November are used in part to fund our World Community Service projects of which Shelter Box is one of our favourites.
For these donations we have received their Silver Hero Award.
We recently donated funds to assist with the disaster relief in Nepal.
