🥳 We're one week away from our annual TD Summer Reading Club Launch Party and you're invited! This year's theme is Dive In. 🌊🐙

The TD Summer Reading Club is a program that encourages library users to continue reading throughout the summer and stop the summer slide in its tracks. Track and log all the time you read during the summer for a chance to win prizes! TDSRC is suitable for all ages; children, teens, and adults.

Don't get books wet. They can't be saved. 📖💧❌ Water is really bad for our books. Even if they dry, they can have invisible mold that can spread to other books in our collection. Please be mindful of our books when you borrow them. Keep them away from the pool, rain, snow, drinks, lakes, hot tubs, bathtubs, wet bathing suits, towels, and anything else wet.

Join us for a panel discussion about Library Board leadership – discover the meaningful role it plays in shaping connected communities. This event will feature current Library Board members who will share their personal journeys. Through their stories, you’ll gain insight into the responsibilities, opportunities, and professional growth that comes with serving on a public library board.

In addition, the Town of East Gwillimbury’s People and Belonging – Accessibility, Indigeneity, and Equity Coordinator will present on the importance of diversity in governance. This session will explore how inclusive boards strengthen decision-making, reflect community voices, and create more equitable and accessible services for all. You’ll learn why representation matters and how individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to participate and lead.

This event will provide the inspiration and information you need to consider joining the Library Board for the upcoming 2027-2030 term. Come discover how your voice, perspective, and leadership can help shape the future of your library and community.

June is National Indigenous History Month and we are honoured to host an Indigenous Learning Circle with Vicky Wolske and Georgina Wolske, two members of the Georgina Island First Nation (GIFN), at the Queensville Library Branch. They will lead a naming ceremony and share teachings about the Anishinaabemowin terms gifted by Georgina to name three of our public rooms.

All residents and visitors are welcome to attend! Join us on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
