Septic Tank Pumpout Reminder

With fall right around the corner, residents are reminded that the solid side of the septic tank should be pumped out annually to ensure that solids do not enter into the liquid side which can plug the sewage pump or lines. Sewage haulers that service this area include Jeffrey’s Septic Service (1-866-845-7794), King’s Septic Service (204-633-9010), Pro Pumper (204-467-9990), Biff’s Septic (204-467-8780), and Dacotah Septic (204-735-2390).

Residential Bulky Item Pickup
Residents are allowed one Bulky item pick-up per household per year. All items that are scheduled for pick-up must fit safely into the back of a half-ton truck. Please contact the RM Office at 204-837-5766 to make arrangements for pick-up.

🚨We are looking for a reliable, motivated and community minded Part-time Caretaker to join our team at the Headingley Community Centre.

Responsibilities include:
Cleaning of two Community Centres
Set up and take down for programs and events
Shoveling walkway during the winter

What you need to have:
Excellent people skills and a positive, community minded attitude
Flexible schedule
High motivation and the ability to work well with others or independently
A valid drivers license
Current CPR certification (or willingness to get certified)
Current WHIMIS (or willingness to get certified)

Shifts are available on weekends and evenings.

- The 30 km/h school zone is back in effect—slow down and stay alert.
- Please use the designated school drop-off and pick-up parking lot to help keep traffic moving safely.
- Watch for children crossing the street, especially during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.

A few extra seconds behind the wheel can make a big difference. Let's help make this a safe and successful start to the school year for everyone in our community.

🚨The RM of Headingley is looking for 20 residents to participate in a free lead testing program that examines the level of lead & copper in the participants water lines & fixtures in their home. The test takes just a few minutes, and the results from the test will be made available to the participant as soon as they are received.

If you are interested in this free testing, email the RM of Headingley at [email protected] and provide your name, address, contact information, age of home, number of children under the age of 6, whether anyone in your household is pregnant or if you run a home-based childcare facility. Participants will be selected on a first come first serve basis.
