I regret to say that I was not successful in my run for a seat on Headingley Council.

I decided to run for Councillor because ensuring that the RM has a full slate of candidates, and a competitive election process is important for our community’s wellbeing and prosperity. That goal was achieved.

Congratulations to Mayor Jim Robson and Councillors, Glen Reimer, Yolande Franzmann, Tom Roche, and Blaine Clapham who will bring a variety of skills to Council and will bring creative discussion and professional decision making on behalf of our residents. Headingley is a great place to live, and it takes a fully engaged Council to keep it that way.

I would like to thank the hundreds of neighbours, that I met over the campaign and the the volunteers that assisted me. Finally I would like to thank my wife and family for their love and support during this campaign.

Thank You,

Paul Brault

I want to offer my sincere thanks to everyone in the Rural Municipality of Headingley who helped organize this today’s municipal election.

Free and fair elections cannot be run without people just like you. Many Headingley residents offered their time to conduct this important event, filling important roles in creating a voters list and working at the polls on election day.

Offering your time to serve as an election worker is an opportunity to give back to our community in a meaningful way.

Despite a power failure you kept things on track, I sincerely thank you for your hard work on today’s election.

There’s no better way to get to know your community than to run for an elected position.

I’d like to thank everyone who took time to share their ideas and priorities over the past four weeks.

I was able to knock on nearly 1200 Headingley doors and spoke with more than 700 of my neighbours.

Thanks again for all of your support.

As I watch the moon rise over the newly harvested fields of our neighbours, I am grateful for the bounty of our Headingley agricultural producers that feed the world.

From our family to your family, Happy Thanksgiving.
