Huge thank you to everyone for the support so far, you have five hours left to get your tickets.

One of our dedicated members has recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of her son due to a tragic accident.

To help ease the financial burden on the family, all proceeds we earn from this week’s 50/50 draw will be donated directly to the family.

If you are able, we encourage you to participate by purchasing a ticket in support of Havelock, sharing this post, or simply keeping the family in your thoughts.

Tickets can be purchased here nb5050.ca/10

There is also a GoFundMe page where donations can be made here: https://tinylink.net/DAZGP

Last week, our members took part in air pack and air management training with a competitive twist.

What better way to train than a game of hockey? Members raced to gear up and couldn’t start playing until every teammate was fully dressed, on air, and ready to go. Once in play, members ran while on air, focusing on controlling their breathing and managing their air supply under exertion.

When tagged out, they had to shut down and remove their air packs, then quickly get everything back on and operational before jumping back into the game.

A great mix of training, teamwork, and a little friendly competition. Strong work by everyone involved.

Great reminder from Salisbury Fire Rescue!

Good morning, everyone!

With the snow coming down, the roads are slick and visibility is reduced. If you're heading out to work or dropping kids off, please take this post as a friendly community reminder:

1. 🛑 PLEASE SLOW DOWN.
Posted speed limits are for dry, clear conditions. In snow and ice, you need to reduce your speed significantly. Give yourself at least double the usual following distance. That car in front of you can stop a lot faster than you think, but you can't.

2. 🚨 MOVE OVER. IT'S THE LAW.
This is critical. Our first responders, tow truck operators, and plow drivers are out there right now working in extremely dangerous conditions.

If you see flashing lights—red, blue, or amber—you MUST slow down and move over a lane if it's safe to do so. Their workplace is just a few feet from live traffic. Let's give them the space they need to stay safe while they help us.

Let's look out for each other today and make sure everyone gets where they're going safely.

Tag a commuter you care about, or share this to spread the word!
