Help Protect Ontario's Trails This Holiday Weekend
With the recent heat and dry conditions, our forests and trails are extremely vulnerable to wildfires. Every rider can help prevent a devastating fire.
Before you hit the trails:
• Never toss cigarette butts on the ground or from your ATV, SxS, or vehicle. Make sure they're completely extinguished.
• Check the condition of your spark arrestor before every ride. Even the smallest spark can ignite dry grass, leaves, or forest debris during hot, dry conditions. If you're not familiar with your machine's spark arrestor or aren't sure if it's properly maintained, check your owner's manual or contact your manufacturer or dealer
• Avoid using BBQs, campfires, or any open flames where restrictions are in place.
• Park only in designated areas. Hot exhaust systems can ignite dry grass.
• Pack out all garbage and leave the trail better than you found it.
• If you see smoke or a fire, report it immediately.
One careless moment can change a forest forever.
Let's all do our part to protect the trails we love—for today's riders and future generations.
Stay Safe. Respect the Trails. Prevent Wildfires.
