The annual Terry Fox Run has become a true Canadian tradition, with nearly 600 communities across the country fundraising for cancer research. This year, let’s come together once again to participate, fundraise, and help finish what Terry started!

📍 Harvey Memorial Community Centre (HMCC)

Harvey has always shown tremendous support for this event and has been one of the top fundraising communities in Atlantic Canada—let’s keep that tradition strong!

Event Details:

In-person registration and donation collection begins at 11:00 a.m. at the HMCC

Run route: ~4 km along Route 636, turning point, and back to the HMCC

Participate your way—walk, run, or bike, and choose any distance you’re comfortable with between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Refreshments and snacks will be available at the HMCC after the run

The Board of Directors of the Harvey Memorial Community Centre will be holding a public meeting on Monday, July 28th at 7:00 PM in Taylor Room at the Harvey Rural Community Centre.

At this meeting, the Board will be reviewing its recent discussions with the Harvey Rural Community regarding the long-term ownership and management of the facility.

We welcome all community members to attend, listen, and take part in the conversation.

📍 Route: Grieve Trail

Bring your friends, wear white (if you dare!), and enjoy the beautiful lakeside views while getting absolutely covered in colour. 🎨

Hey Friends. Our ice is back in good shape and ready for one last Sunday of fun tomorrow. So here’s the plan.

Sunday March.9th 10:00am-11:30am - One Last “Pickup” Game of hockey (full gear required) All ages welcome. Free to play but donation of desired. Please message the HMCC fb page or Chad Hughes to let me know how many kids you have coming and their positions (to ensure we have 2 goalies)

Sunday 12:30pm-2:00pm Last Public Skate of 2025 - Free Admission but donation if desired - Canteen will be open (chips,pop,sour keys) but no skate sharpening available.
