Just to clear up some confusion regarding the pin contest: we only received these 2 submissions. AI was not chosen over Indigenous art. Our intention was to support both band members by featuring a community-designed pin alongside a Chief pin. We appreciate everyone’s feedback and support and hope to see more community participation in future contests.

Congratulations to the winners of our Mi'kmaq Summer Games pin design contest, Lydia Turnbull & Waverley Gaudet!
