Habitat for Humanity Haldimand County Chapter In response to inquiries and the interest of local residents, Habitat for Humanity Canada recognized Haldimand County as an area with chapter status in 2015.

Habitat Haldimand County Chapter is a partner of Habitat for Humanity Hamilton, a registered charity that builds strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Haldimand County is a rural municipality of 484 square miles on the Niagara Peninsula of Southern Ontario, bounded by the north shore of Lake Erie, and with the Grand River running through several towns. Soon after, Habitat for Humanity Haldimand Chapter was founded under the guidance of Habitat for Humanity Hamilton.
